Kairos prison minsitry

Thinking of volunteering for Kairos? We would LOVE to have you join the 30,000 volunteers who are already passionate about our mission!

Kairos Prison Ministry is a Christian faith-based ministry that addresses the spiritual needs of incarcerated men, women, youth, and their families. By sharing the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ, Kairos is changing hearts, transforming lives and impacting the world.

Sandra Reed will be the Weekend Leader for Aliceville Women’s Federal Correctional Institution on Feb 20-23, 2020. Please contact if you are willing to serve on the team or need more information.

Community soup bowl

  • Tuscaloosa Community Soup Bowl servers needed | For this ministry, you serve one weekday every quarter from 10:45 a.m. - 1:15 p.m. You can choose your day of the week. Each volunteer will be mailed a quarterly schedule. Contact Lynne Richardson at
  • Feed My Sheep | Our Church supports the "Feed My Sheep" non profit which transports guests to the Soup Bowl, and returns them to their homes.  Got an hour? Feed My Sheep is in need of a driver one Monday each month. The time allotment is a little over an hour. If interested, contact Sandy Durham at 205-292-3209 for a ride-along and to determine if this is a ministry to which you feel called.

TES offers a vast array of client services, including food assistance, clothing and help with utilities, so volunteers are always in demand. Our volunteers can work during office hours 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday or at the TES Thrift Store 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Friday & Saturdays 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. There are many different functions available for volunteers at our agency:

helping out in our always busy Thrift Store, filling food bags for our clients, sorting donations and many more!

If you are interested in any volunteer opportunities please download and fill out the Volunteer Application and contact Sharon Morgan at 205-758-5535. You may also come into our client services office between 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday.
