  • United methodist women

United Methodist Women is an organized unit of women of all ages whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ and to develop a creative, supportive fellowship through small groups within the unit.

Close to one million members across the United States are committed to mission with emphasis on women, children, and youth. Nationally, members raise about $20 million a year for missions in the U.S. and in over one hundred countries in the world. Locally, UMW gives $10,000 + to social service agencies such as Meals on Wheels, A Woman’s Place, West Alabama Food Bank, Tuscaloosa Children’s Center, Arts ‘n Autism, and Caring Days.

There is opportunity for spiritual growth, prayer, study, development of leadership and nurturing skills, and fellowship. The local unit of UMW is divided into small groups called “Circles”, most of which meet once a month except during the summer. Four times a year all members meet together for a program.

Membership in the United Methodist Church is not a requirement to be a member of United Methodist Women.

Contact Jane at for more information.

Do you need time to escape the chaos of the world?

Do you desire prayer for your needs?

Do you struggle finding time to pray?

Do you want a stronger prayer life?

Prayer is one of the primary means through which we connect with the Holy Spirit. When we connect, the Holy Spirit transforms of our spirit. God hears our prayers. He listens and He answers. Through group prayer we grow closer to one another as a community of faith. Calling out in the Name of the Lord together is one of the most transformative things we can do as a church. Allow our Sanctuary to be your weekly refuge. Join us on Wednesdays at 6:00 PM in the Sanctuary.

  • Reception Desk Volunteers

We have reception front desk volunteer opportunities available Monday through Friday. Volunteers work half-days, either in the morning or afternoons. If you are interested, please contact Morgan Bruce.
